I'm a fan of Ian Fleming I think Dalton really pulled off the "Fleming Bond" in The Living Daylights. Good movie. Licence to Kill is terrible, Dalton's acting is awful, and it strays to far away from the rest of the movies and books. The Connery movies are more like a Fleming story than Licence to Kill
