That's great info on the business of it all. The Wire is one of the five greatest television shows I've ever seen. I think that it's bad ratings had a lot to do with people not knowing it existed.
If it's going to be 13 episodes than just do it in one season instead of two. I know HBO would like to extend the ratings for another year but making fans wait 10 months for an additional shortened season is evil. I'm looking at you Mad Men.
I did not know this. I record most CW shows but when their was a conflict of my recording failed to work (which happens a lot with CW shows) I was glad to have Hulu as a backstop. That sucks.

I really hope that this series is available elsewhere at some point. Proprietary streaming services for individual networks means a terrible future for consumers and networks. I don't think a fragmented model serves anyone in this game.
