Chris Rock’s documentation of his being stopped by the police for driving while black seems like a pretty strong argument against some part of the “New Black” idea.

I honestly feel sorry for these guys. They were put in a situation where either they would refuse to break the rules and get fired, or they would do as they were told and get thrown under the bus when the team got caught. I can’t blame them for choosing the path that at least gave them a shot at not getting screwed.
