Ugh… on the one hand, I really like several of the actors in this and would happily go see an original Western starring them (all the while celebrating the recent resurgence of the Western genre). On the other hand… why did this have to be a remake of one of my all time favorite films and what is almost universally

Yes, exactly.

My dad, who I wouldn't typically describe as forgetful, is catching up on iZombie and is on S2E16. He feels the escalation that is leading to the finale but keeps asking me "Wait, how many episodes in this season?!" because with most shows, episode 16 is still fairly far from the end. I think his mind just refuses to

Because it will almost certainly be the series finale, they should've done like they did last season and do a functional finale, then if it got miraculously renewed, consider killing her off in the premiere if the actress truly wanted out as much as it sounded like she did. The way they did it, especially since they

I watched through to the end of last season, and the final episode actually felt like a decent series finale so I was satisfied when I heard it might not come back. Then it came back but I wasn't able to watch for a few weeks… and boy was that serendipitous. I heard the cries of outrage and researched further… turns

Especially because they only gave iZombie a 19 episode order instead of a full season with just a few more episodes. If they had, it wouldn't have finished yet and it would still need this time slot.

That was my exact first response. After all these years of hoping to see her back on my TV as a series regular, this is how it happens?! I need to be more specific when it comes to my wishes apparently.

Wow, even though I know which one you're referring to, your comment could actually apply to either of the two scifi shows she did back to back, and I would in fact accept the revival of either with joy. For me, it would be the other, but only because it's the one I grew up watching so it has the benefit of seniority

Very true; you so often see actors not bothering to make much of an effort in that kind of role because they think it's less important, which couldn't be further from the truth. I didn't get far enough to experience the years without Fraser, but I know the books without Hastings often felt like the heart was missing

Agreed! I've lent my copy to several friends over the years, and I always seem to have a difficult time getting it back, so I think they must feel the same.
I also agree regarding the other adaptations; while there are none that I would label bad, I think they often miss the mark with one or both of the characters.

I have mixed feelings about the David Suchet Poirot series. On the one hand I absolutely agree that David Suchet was the best portrayer of the character of Poirot; on the other hand, the writers really played fast and loose with Christie's plots, which meant that I couldn't make it through more than a few episodes

Oh wow, now that you mention it, Robert Buckley would be a pretty great Cap (if Chris Evans wasn't already perfectly cast in the role, I might've even gone as far as to say perfect)

Yes! That adaptation of Jane Eyre is my favorite by a mile because of the definitive performances of both Toby and Ruth.
