Shoes off, socks on is generally acceptable provided they stay under the seat in front of you. I’ve been on longer international flights where they distribute slippers and that was nice.

Such a distinct dashboard, seeing one always puts me in nostalgia mode. It’s just a big flat wall in front of the passenger. My mom drove a hand me down 80s 95 when I was a young kid and I can remember having a hard time seeing over the dash.
