I used to bomb hills at about 55 wearing knees, slide gloves, and a helmet. I would say that was dumb, I should have been wearing leathers, but who can afford those in high school. 70 with minimal pads is essentially suicide. Going down at 40 sucks, going down at 70 would way way worse.

I wouldn’t count New England out, I bet they would die top 10 and periodically get the upset. New England gets Texas hot and Canada cold all within 6 months so at the very least they are adaptable.

I have always felt that in adding the 6th gear they just made all the ratios a little shorter. My old 5-speed maxima probably was revving lower in 5th than my brz or wranger are in 6th. I want the old 5 speed ratios but with a super tall 6th, so tall I literally cant use it anywhere but the highway.
