STARZ was free and I binged on episodes 1-7, but realized my freebies were running out. I hurried up and added STARZ onto my subscription ONLY to watch the finale. I fell in love with the way the stories are told, and how the scenes are shot (i.e. dimming all sounds except the women working the pole). I cannot wait

THIS! If there is any way to prosecute her, I hope it happens. She knew exactly what she was doing from the onset, and got over on so many people it’s not even funny.

LOL! We all mess up these words on the regular around my way. It’s a way of life.

Whew chile! This list had me cracking up but shaking my head too!

Love, love, LOVE Big Freedia! I love when a person lives life on their own terms.

Man....that film will forever be a classic. The costumes, hair, music, scenery...it all just WORKED.

I would have whupped her ass so good those prescription pills she hide in her panties would have been flying through the air. I am tired of these racists.

I want to read the Vanity Fair issue, but I am still so damned angry and hurt that Breonna Taylor is dead and her murderers are still walking around enjoying their lives. I’m tired of America.

OMG me too. I cannot wait to see this!

Why was I singing this every time I got to the printed lyrics? Lol! This song is still the shit.

That video was fucking dope. It made me happy after a shitty day of bad news. So if the song wasn’t that great for people, I don’t really care, because seeing all those proud Black faces get their roses while they’re still here sho’nuff made me smile hard.

I’m not watching Black Love. I’ve not seen the previous season either. As a dark-skinned woman, I am beyond tired of trying to explain how images of darker skinned men and light skinned women perpetuates colorism. I’m not a bitter woman, nor do I wish to have lighter skin (I grew up with a strong sense of pride in my

This hurt to read and I became more angry as I continued to read. I’m tired of these white folks using every tactic in the book to keep us from achieving generational wealth.

Pay my tuition just to kiss me on this wet ass p*ssy”! LMAO. I’m buying this just for that line.

Outsourcing our mental health is hard enough, but in my opinion, it’s easier when the therapist can identify with you due to your race/gender. I currently see a Black Female therapist and there are so many things I can talk to her about that a White therapist just would not understand.

Native born and bred Chicagoan chiming in to say that your piece was 1000% accurate. I knew Lightfoot’s rise to Mayor was going to be problematic in the long run due to her own history with police, prosecutors, etc. We have always been dealing with the results of systemic racism, here on the South Side. Our West Side

I never got “The Talk” because I knew what America meant for a Black child like me, growing up in the 70s/80's in Chicago. My parents were Pro-Black (RIP) and taught us well about our majestic history. No need for a talk if you’ve already BEEN talking about microaggressions, blatant racism, and systemic racism.

They shouldn’t have taken shit down.

I felt in my heart that she was right all along. I am praying that she wins, because at the core of this, Black women are always doubted, criticized for speaking up in a way that “offends” folks, and are lowballed in every industry in the world. I believed Mo’Nique when she said she was blackballed and I still believe

I am thankful she knows her worth and that she was able to tell her stories on her terms. I just really admire Michaela Coel, every since Chewing Gum.
