I was in High School when “Songbird” debuted. I loved it at the time, but I also grew up loving Thelonius Monk, Coltrane, Miles, Billie Holiday, etc. It’s cheesy but sometimes, cheesy is nostalgic and good. Truthfully, I haven’t listened to Kenny G. in over 20 years.

One of the best movies about young, African-American males! I saw it at the theater, then a few years later, my professor in Grad school showed it to the class (an “urban teacher” class).
