Many years ago, by pure fluke, I met Stevie Wonder, who was being escorted by Gregory Hines (RIP). Mr. Wonder was kind, funny, and humble. I pray that he has a successful transplant and can continue to write, play, and sing for many more years. Music like his only comes once in a lifetime. “Superwoman” will always be

Do what you want, just like I plan to do. What I won’t do is tear down another Black woman while these fucked up white candidates sit around doing the same if not worse in terms of their jobs.

I quit smoking a long time ago (cigarette chain smoker/occasional weed) but a recent bout with sciatica has seriously caused me to rethink weed. At the very least, I am exploring edibles for pain relief. Others who suffer from sciatica have shared with me that weed/edibles definitely relieved the pain.

Whoowee! I do not miss this stage of life. I got a boy trained after I made him sit on the potty and use his own baby wipes to clean himself. He kept saying, “It stink”, to which I replied, “Yes, it stinks. No one wants to smell your stinky boo-boo.” He never pooped or peed on himself again.

First, I’m not your bruh. Also, I hope you sift through ALL of the candidates’ profiles and previous “wrongdoings” with the same fine-toothed comb reserved for Senator Harris. We need a candidate that can beat the hell out of the Republicans.

I can picture it now: A Trump library filled with artifacts including swastikas, white hooded robes, copies of news publications like, “Identity Evropa” and “American Freedom Party”, along with posters of “those fine people” of Charlottesville. We won’t see any books, Blacks, “identifiable Mexicans and Muslims”, Women

Joi possesses one of those voices that just stops you in your tracks. She’s everywhere and yet, nowhere. People either know her entire catalog or have no idea about her music.

“Return of the Mack” will always be my jam. IDGAF what the naysayers say, this song still bangs. ‘Bout to go play that shit now.

Senator Harris is not the problem. Black folks who find fault with anything Sen. Harris does are the real problem. The longer I live, the more I see how much Black men (and some women) hate other Black women.

I showed The 13th to my students and we had some very meaningful dialogue. Ava has brought quality films to the masses!

Docudrama or not, I’m so proud of Ava DuVernay her due diligence and for showing the world what I have witnessed for my whole life. Those men lost so much due to a racist system. I feel absolutely no sympathy (not that you’ve sympathized with Lederer or Fairstein) for anyone involved in the wrongful prosecution and

I hope they arrested the right person for these heinous crimes. I am tired of Black women being the target of hate.

My family is from Nashville, and I know Jefferson St. is prime realty for the greedy investors who want to gentrify that area. They are blatantly pushing out old, Black homeowners so they can tear down those Black neighborhoods and fill them with young, White folks.

Fuck Pence. He is a dangerous demon who really believes the crazy shit coming out of his mouth. I will be eating the biggest bag of popcorn ever when all of HIS dirty business is aired.

Beautiful commercial. Look at the love in his dad’s eyes. This makes me hopeful for a better future.

I love your list, but number 7 is the one that made me truly smile. I’m a proud HBCU alumna and I approve this post!

Rahm is a low down dog and a racist.  I am a Chicagoan who moved back after he was elected and saw how everything this article mentions affected Black and Brown people. He has crippled communities during his tenure and will continue to be rewarded for his piss poor behavior.

My family reunion is coming up (Greenville Ala) this summer and I almost don’t want to go because of all the messed up things that state continues to support.

This country hates women and children. It’s always been this way.

I agree. I wonder if Barris is even aware of this issue. Colorism was addressed on an episode of Blackish, so I know on some level he is aware but...um...I guess time will tell once we see Black Excellence. I would love to see Rashida Jones star in something where she is not playing a racially ambiguous woman, but
