If so, what’s the purpose of the NCDC’s NLRB complaint? What law is being broken when individual dealerships sign blanket contracts that apply to their employees, regardless of who’s negotiating the contract?

It’s anti-union statements like this that keep the working man struggling. The strike is trying to get them fair pay. Not super pay. Just pay. And having manufacturers sell directly is not a part of this issue which is mechanics getting paid.

From one of the prior articles, it sounds like some of these dealerships don’t even recognize the union even though their employees voted one in.

My guess its a the smaller dealers that broke ranks because they cant afford to hold out like the larger richer places. The larger places are pissed because the smaller places are not only breaking ranks but showing that working with the mechanics can be done. The larger places also have more to lose than the smaller…

So let me get this straight... The dealerships are free to tell union members that they can reapply for their individual jobs and it’s all good. But if the union goes and talks to individual dealers it’s a problem?
