Engman feels that she might be a victim of class envy

What’s wrong with just telling him what you wrote here? You should tell him that alcohol lowers inhibitions, that he may not be able to tell how drunk his partner actually is, and that he should always err on the side of caution (it sounds like, from the story he told you about his encounter as an exchange student,

Of course it’s harmless. But I think exhibitionists should own it and just say they love the attention, rather than trying to pass this off as some altruistic lesson to the world on how to make sweet, sweet love. That’s what elicits eye rolls, not the exhibitionism itself.

Agree 100%. When we adopted our rescue dog, I told my gf that the dog was forever. She then said “Well, unless he threatens our (as yet unborn) kids.”

Condolences. Losing a pet is never easy. last cat my family lost died on my birthday, of all days.

JUST GONNA SIT OVER HERE CRYING GUYS. I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve owned both cats and dogs and losing them opens up a hole in your heart that can shock you, especially if you aren’t prepared for the pain. You did a great thing by providing him with a home while he was here. You’re good people.

I’m so sorry for your loss.

I watched it with my grandmother. She and my grand aunties reminded me of the Golden Girls. They were strong and powerful women who were leaders in our community.

So much agree. GG were so much more intriguing and relatable.

I became friends with a lady who tried to convince me SATC was better. I stopped being her friend.

You should get weepy, it was that great of a show. All the others (I’m looking at you SATC) are just ripoffs.

Rue McClanahan’s estate is selling her possessions for charity, per her wishes.

I’m a HARDCORE Golden Girls fan. I actually own the letter Rue McCalanahan received, notifying her of her first Emmy nomination for the show, as well as her college German textbook, a signed DVD of the first season of the show, AND the necklace she’s wearing in this promo pic.

I remember that episode well. Dorothy was told to dye her hair blond by her doctor. She lamented that womens health isn’t taken seriously and read him the riot act when she finally found a physician who did.

I was in grade school when this show was on and of course didn’t realize how revolutionary it was at the time. But seriously, it’s one of those shows where you think back on it and wonder how on earth it got made. So intelligent! So forward thinking! So liberal!

One of my favorites was a two-parter where Dorothy is eventually diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue. Back then, no one knew what things like CFS and Fibromyalgia were, and often people with weakness, fatigue, and pain who didn’t test positive for any known illness were just ignored or labeled “hypochrondriacs.” Or, worse,

Thank you for being a friend.

Also, did anyone notice how much they call eachother sluts on this show? I love it.

Almost everything Community did that was considered “revolutionary” was done by Golden Girls first. Including the fact that some of their “remember the time...” episodes included flashbacks with all new material. (That’s not to dig on Community just saying that this show was the revolutionary one.)
