Perhaps a comparison should be made of the environmental impact of mining resources needed for steel and Portland cement versus logging. Yes, past logging practices, and some current ones, leave much to be desired, but wholesale clear cutting of old growth is almost corporate suicide. Reforestation efforts go along…
