Please consider editing that comment about “Lady Graham.” Jezebel has a very quick ban hammer and that is the sort of comment that gets a user hammered.

Don’t worry about me. I sold all my GME this morning.  I’ve learned my lesson and will seek out better financial advisors in the future.

I couldn’t sleep at all last night from worrying so I took your advice and sold all my GME this morning. I took a hefty loss but I feel I got out just before the real crash. What a painful learning experience. At least I won’t be living in my car, though I will be eating a lot of beans and rice this year.

I don’t believe GME is a cult. It’s true that people who leave cults always say it all seemed very reasonable initially and only seemed crazy in retrospect. Maybe years from now I’ll look at my GME experience in a similar light. But right now it all seems very reasonable and I can’t pretend it doesn’t.

That all seems very reasonable but I hear a lot about “animal spirits” on Reddit. Animal spirits aren’t about math or logic and when they take over a market you can make a lot of money real quick and if you’re short you get crushed. That seems to be what’s happening now. But I could be wrong. That’s what keeps me up

Wow congratulations, you’ve done really well for yourself! I got in a lot later than you so I’ll have to stick it out longer if I want a good payday. The downside is losing my whole GME investment would be a heavy setback and I’d probably have to cut corners to make ends meet for the next few years, but I just

I get it, you’re talking about survivor bias. But if a person keeps on surviving, isn’t that a person whose advice should carry special weight?

Yeah but I’ve formed personal relationships with some of the online folks who are advising me to hold. They’re my friends and their advice has been good for me so far, so it’s really hard to tell them I’m going to start rejecting their advice and start taking contrary advice from strangers. It would feel like a

Okay thanks, you seem to know lots more about this stuff than me so I’ll give your advice due weight, but there are other voices telling me to hold. These folks have steered me right thus far, so I have to weight their advice heavily too.

When do you advise selling? I have a big chunk of my savings tied up in GME and I’m terrified of losing it but I’m also terrified of missing another big run. I’ve listened to the GME bulls up til now and they’ve been right so far but now I’m getting nervous and losing sleep at night.  I don’t know who to believe

The trend of child attribution on social media alarms me. It’s a way for political extremists to get around fact-checkers. QAnon posters could simply attribute all their ideas to their children. Then what are the fact-checkers supposed to do? Children babble like crazy people constantly. That’s normal kid behavior. So

Splinter, anyone?

The Logan Act doesn’t differentiate between nations in conflict and not. It just says the President is supposed to speak for America. I think that’s the right way to handle foreign relations. Republicans will undoubtedly exploit any legalistic ambiguity to conduct their own diplomacy so we’d be wise to take a hard

It doesn’t matter if it’s technically symbolic. “Intent to influence” is the only relevant metric for a Logan Act violation. Symbolic acts can influence. In fact, they are generally intended to do exactly that. It’s settled law that “The President alone has the power to speak or listen as a representative of the

Wait, a city can join the Paris Accord? Isn’t that a violation of the Logan Act? I’m not against it but it seems a little risky from a legal standpoint.

Trump treated vaccine distribution as a states rights issue — he left it to the governors. He did the same thing with masks. What a disaster. The pandemic has shown that governors are the least reliable layer of American government. Blue state governors have fucked up the pandemic response almost as bad as red state

No. Cruz wants to help us break up Facebook and Google, so it’s not smart to be too mean to him just yet. But I agree with you, the day after FB and Goog are broken up, I’ll hold Cruz’s arms behind his back while you punch him in the face.

Cruz is terrible on most issues but he’s not bad when it comes to breaking up Big Tech. He says Facebook and Google are dangerous monopolies, so in that regard he’s in alignment with progressive Democrats. He could be a useful ally on that particular issue, but otherwise, fuck him.
