I’m black. Can I respond? I mean, with all of your restrictions... Anywho, I’m sorry you have to deal with all the littering in the projects that you live in. I’ve never lived in the projects, but I lived in subsidized housing as a kid, and I don’t recall littering problems. Maybe it’s just where you live. I

You’ll never get me to stop hating Oreo’s!

Nobody thought you were black.

I’ve actually studied the issue of littering in impoverished communities, though not the American projects, so I might be off in some areas. While I was doing my architecture degree one of the electives that I took focused on the issues facing council estates, with an emphasis on social issues including littering.

Also when I say the rich can spout whatever bullshit they want, I mean that they have the money to buy the world they want. Us common folk do not.

We don’t know if the neighbor choked or grabbed the child. We do know the cop is a lying, abusive piece of shit.

I once picked up a Burger King bag that a woman threw out of her car window. She literally dumped it on my foot as I was walking into a gas station. I didn’t say a word or even look in her direction or stop. I picked it up in stride and chucked in the bin. When I came out of the store a few minutes later, she came

You can see my reply to ThirdAmendmentMan with the range of statistics collected by the bls which track these folks. In case you don’t find it, the link is here:

If her words were true then she really should have recused herself from duty.

I somewhat agree. I have found myself defending Trump (which is about as fun to me as defending a turd in a toilet bowl) when some attacks are false or misleading.

I’m not mad at her. She took a stand, its more than a lot of us are willing to sacrifice.

You do not choke a child, period.

“Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you.”

I still have hope for the next generation of citizens, lawmakers and otherwise, to believe in equality, freedom, liberty and other elements of the Constitution. A majority of children and grandchildren of the baby boom generation, plus immigrants, and their children and grandchildren, should carry the numbers to drive

To be fair:

For how much of American history, using the EIC’s measures has this country been a full democracy for Black People?

The only difference is that these things now apply to White People too.

We are now a kakistocracy, his appointments and behavior are nothing short of that.

They don’t want to go to the White House anyway.

I have absolutely read this book, a long time ago. I scoured my local public library for Peanuts books when I was nine. This was one of the books I found, amidst the comic strip anthologies.

The fact that my grandmother* could say this about her parents always makes me hate the folks who act like slavery was “so long ago, get over it”. When my grandmother could tell me stories about her mother, the former slave, we are not that far from anything.

“Born into slavery” and “born to slaves” are two sentences that will never, ever, ever cease to send shivers down my spine.
