Every organized religion is judged by The Greatest Commandment and its next.
Every organized religion is judged by The Greatest Commandment and its next.
Honest self-improvement and seeking to improve the lives of others is never a crock of shit, though I do admit it is sadly pretty rare.
CAN I GET A WITNESS?
I know enough about Catholicism to understand it is an overall evil organization with smatterings of good folks and even groups within it here and there.
Yes, Jesus describes very specifically the difference between a Christian and a hypocrite. A person can not willfully be both; they are either trying to truly be a Christian or they don’t give a shit about the teachings and are, thus, a hypocrite.
Most scholars are Atheists in this world, thus what the fuck do they really know?
Bang-on, sir/madam. That’s the exact heart of the issue.
What about “Greatest” is unclear to you?
I have done no such things, but I get your frustration with people around you that call themselves Christian but do those oppressive things, but they’re not Christians, they’re hypocrites.
That’s a fallacious accusation of the “No true Scotsman fallacy”.
Of course, Jesus himself taught us about the hypocrites. They use religion to cover their abuses. It’s a very old and very sad story.
Well said, friend, very well said. Truth truly is beauty.
I have never condoned malice. I do, however, strongly condone justice for the innocently oppressed.
Your claiming that I am guilty of using that fallacy is, itself, fallacious.
No. Religion exists as a way to teach us how to consciously evolve out of our foibles. For both our personal benefit and the benefit of the greater societies we are members of.
What hypocrites do does not impugn the name or teachings of the founder of the movement they directly disobey and besmirch and whose teachings they are willfully ignorant of.
I’m not reinterpreting evidence, I’m providing the words of Jesus, himself.
Yeah, I picked the Greatest. It’s called choice or discernment and it is indicative of some of the wisdom I’ve learned over my years.
Clutch those pearls, dude. Clutch `em hard.
Nope. That’s deliberate disinformation by this Tomato Troll character, who I believe used to be Tomato Trump.
