Jalopnik talks about boats, planes, helicopters, trains, trucks, tanks... just about anything with a motor. This is interesting content that I frankly wasn’t really that aware of. I’m not sure what your beef is.
Sometimes, we will let you see it so you know it is there watching you. When you don’t want people to know, they just turn off the plane on the site.
Yep, if people want to hide their planes, they can do that. Info blocked on FR24 can show up on other sites too, like tail numbers and registration. FR24 is a good site, but it is not the whole picture.
FYI, it doesn’t show EVERYTHING. I watch this site intently along with military flights in/out of the airport outside my office window. It only shows certain things, most things, but not EVERYTHING. Just so people understand that.

I’m guessing you live in a large city - tens of millions of Americans do not, and don’t live anywhere near a Home Depot or other truck rental facility. I’ve lived in rural areas a few times, and this thing would have absolutely crushed it in those locations. You have to drive long distances, so the good/great fuel…

Even though I could never afford it (obviously) I think this is ridiculously awesome. I feel like Jalopnik currently has the biggest disconnect in terms of how writers see their takes being received, and what their actual reading audience is. Most of us like to see cool stuff, especially if it was repurposed like this.
I can’t stand Tesla fanatics, but they got a point. Tesla is the biggest seller of US made EVs, the ones who have pushed the technology to this point, yet they don’t get a mention because they aren’t part of the Union?

In many places in Europe (and the US) it’s already cheaper to fly than take a train, reason being the maintenance of the tracks is super expensive

They aren’t actually responding only to a 6 month old event, they are primarily talking specifically about the Build Back Better meeting that just happened last Wednesday 1/26. Lake Shore Drive should get the full Alaskan Way / Embarcadero treatment and become a lower-volume, 40mph urban boulevard, ideally with a tram, or some kind of bus reserved lanes, and plenty of occasions to cross by foot. It’s a crime against humanity that so many cities turned their shores into highways like that.…
