Boxsters were referred to as “hairdresser’s cars” when they were first released. Not a compliment, obviously. Also I don’t think it actually means actual hairdressers drove them.

I’m sorry... people actually thought that story was true? GD.

My vehicle requires 91 octane. If I’m feeling particularly frugal, I mix the 87 with 93 (Costco doesn’t carry mid grade). I figure that’s close enough. At current prices it saves me $5.00/tank.

Gentlefolks, Whatthefoxsays is living proof that chivalry is not dead!

Dealers are REALLY good at confusing people. My brother bought a Camry recently (tragic, I know). After agreeing on an out-the-door price, the dealer presented papers with a monthly payment that didn’t meet his calculations. They argued for hours, the dealer told him that his calculations were wrong, and of course

Ethanol is less expensive than regular gasoline... but blending it with regular gasoline somehow makes the price of both increase? Is there something about the blending process that accounts for the fairly large price difference?

3, 6, 9, doesn’t matter, this car is soooo ugly.

I drove a 1st gen Acura MDX for 10 years. Now I drive an 05 Infiniti G35, mostly because I wanted better handling, RWD, and better fuel economy (fuel economy is actually worse, despite weighing 800lbs less). So I’m with you.

The defense presents the Jaguar F-Pace. It’s light (base model under 4,000 lbs), with a premium on handling, it’s massively good looking, oh and did I mention the base engine is a 4 banger diesel? The diesel won’t hit 60 in 5.3 like the supercharged V-6, but you’ll pull real-world 37 mpg on highway runs. Manual

“FISKER INC. WILL SPEARHEAD A REVOLUTION IN ELECTRIC CARS THAT WILL DISRUPT THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE MARKET AND CHANGE THE WORLD.”

That was waaaaay more than a bumper cover. I’m guessing some decent metal damage and probably a shattered radiator support. Oh and the headlights looked a lot like this as he pulled away:

No, this makes total sense, because the REAL problem with the BRZ was that it Didn’t Handle Real Good.

I used to see one of these parked at my local Albertson’s ALL THE TIME. I don’t know if the owner worked their or not, but I fell in love with the understated and sleek design. I always assumed it was a V8, was surpised to find out last week that a lovely V12 is nestled under the hood.

Ha, I can only dream of the V-Sport right now. They seem to hold their value really, really well.

Which kind do you have? Been eyeing 2010-2013's. Two common complaints are that the seats on base models and the base headlights suck, which means stepping up to the 3.6 Performance or Premier. Any thoughts?

Completely agree, most people SUCK at math and “thinking”. Forget interest, the biggest costs associated with most cars is depreciation. If you are going to finance a car for 8 years and keep it, why not buy a 4-year old car, drive it 4 years, and save a fortune. For example, I was looking at Cadillac CTS and ATS

It depends. I feel bad for the folks with under $3k trying to find a reliable ride to get them to school, work, etc. There aren’t a lot of great choices down there.

Interesting, I wasn’t sure about platinum, but I kind of assumed iridium was on the list. Who would’ve thought that Rare Earth metals aren’t actually rare!
