What a child. And people wonder why Nintendo refused to let that other smash tournament go on.

I knew it wasn’t real when I got to “his girlfriend” in an article related to professional Smash players.

Eh, I can’t say for sure, but I work with Customs in this express parcel space and I would speculate that WATA didn’t have good insurance options available (based on UPS policies) and I’d be surprised if this type and degree of damage was done by Customs officers during a routine inspection of something like a sealed

Also when Sony buys a studio it’s treated as a loving relationship of support but when Microsoft does, it’s considered just throwing money and compensating.
Not saying that giant megacorps buying up every form of entertainment is good but I don’t see how one form is somehow more admirable than the other

Pretty much. Over the past decade, Sony has repeatedly used exclusivity deals to screw Xbox gamers (and sometimes PC gamers, as is the case with this Spider-Man content). It’s fairly comical that the FTC is freaking out over the MS/Activision acquisition because MS might do what Sony has already been doing for years.

Sony: “Sorry bros. Spidey’s exclusive to Playstation. We own the rights to him in media. See? Sucks for you, lolz.

Sad that a classic game was destroyed? Yes.

Worth $4000? Definitely not.
Worth $3950 to for the WATA games ‘graded level’? Abso-fucking-lutely NOT.

UPS (that Louisville airport Customs release on something this small within North America all but guarantees UPS was the carrier) insures your stuff up to $100 at best (lot of caveats to collecting even that small amount). For anything valued over $100, you can pay to declare a higher value but that still doesn’t

Sort of split on this. Sympathy isn’t deep because I find this sort of coveting pretty damaging to the industry and culture, but straight up destroying personal items is senseless and, from my perspective, pretty indefensible.

There’s no excuse for property damage in customs...

also “Poochie died on the way back to his home planet.”

No-one, not even Sony themselves, understand their handling of the Spider-Man franchise - he’s exclusive, unless he’s not - he can’t be in the MCU, yes he can, wait no he can’t, yes he can again - Morbius???

Pictured:

That “Spiderman will remain a Sonly exclusive” has that “and Dr. Beckett never made it home” energy from the final episode of Quantum Leap.

Not to mention Jason has a whole family to take care of. Real shitty situation there. Hopefully he and Jess saw this coming and planned for it.

I’m sure whatever happens in the future Dan will somehow land on his feet.

you catching Brad Vinny and Alex on Nextlander yea?

Giant Bomb just can’t catch a break.

Going to be tough with no Jess or Jason on Giantbomb. Jess was a breath of fresh air when she came on, and stood her ground. Jason was the last (regular) face of the past. Still reeling from Gerstman’s firing. Game of the Year has been a tradition in this house, but couldn’t even deal with the mess it was this year.

This quadruple sucks. Jess is great and brought back some of the analytical energy Austin brought with him during his short tenure and while the spirit was different, the new GB crew was doing cool things. Jason Oestreicher who was a great presence too also got fired, which is triple fucked up because the man is quite
