MS isn’t pushing the smoke screen, Sony is. Sony’s complaint from top to bottom is CoD might leave our console.
And MS won’t get that much leverage from the merger. Even after the merge, MS would still only be the #3 gaming company in the world, after Tencent at #2 and Sony at #1. Sony will still have the most clout.

Agreed, the vast majority of the third party comment about this is given over to CoD flannel when it’s patently obvious the King part of ABK is what MS are after.

I have nothing to say about Hotz or Musk that hasn’t already been said; but given that login popup can make Twitter unreadable for non-users I wouldn’t say noone cares about it - especially given how much this site links to tweets.

Just like “RPG elements” that don’t fit the genre. Actions games don’t need skill tress, just unlock new skills and moves with the story. Collecting exp and holding Square doesn’t make me any extra connection to the new move/mechanic. Not every game need to have levels ups or exp grinding.
