Also, it is a year to the day since the Brad, Vinny, and Alex left. I’m guessing there was a “stay on for a year” aspect to his contract he didn’t option to renew. In hindsight, this may have been the plan all along.

Yeah, expected as much since the old crew left, they had to make him stay on the extra year because they don’t want it to seem like it was bad.

Musk has been transitioning from “troll edgelord” to “white nationalist Republican” so I don’t think he particularly cares how people think of him.

Musk’s entire brand has been “edgy asshole troll” for the last 5 years, but the problem is that eventually everyone starts to... think of you and your brand as “asshole”.

And yeah, Musk is kind of the pre-eminent asshole in social media at this point. And he’s not happy about it.

I’ll agree with you that Gervais doesn’t really deserve to be in the same league as Chappelle. But it’s starting to look like the Dave Chappelle of today doesn’t either.
