Having the alarm go off at the start of every level is the exact opposite from unpredictability.

Yeah but the thing is, this con is actively marginalizing themselves. If you build your own sphere, of course you won't feel included in the big sphere.

So we should segregate? Gaymer cons and... straightmer cons? Instead of, you know, making all cons more inclusive?

No. It means pertaining to story and gameplay. It's an adjective, like the word "bright". It explains what kind of dissonance it is.

Because you've got good physical control, unlike a baby. Because you've got a well-learning brain, unlike an old. That's not to say someone of 25 can't be good, just that there's less good 25 year old pro gamers. Just like there are less 40 year old soccer players than 20 year olds. (heck the only one I can think of

"Regularly up to 10 seconds"

Buckets.

Now playing

That's... really not a big benefit. You can run Win8 on a netbook with about 400mb ram used and ~5% of the CPU:

I don't quite get the appeal of a mac mini, or any such mini PC, really. Sure it's portabl-ish, but the keyboard, mouse, monitor you plug in to that negate all that. Why not a macbook air or *insert-favorite-brand* laptop?

And why wouldn't it be done with GI? Very little changes in the environment, they're not exactly using instanced models, so nigh everything can be baked into the diffuse.

No, but neither did the player. So the player was 2 damage better off. (potentially 4 if he would have attacked with weapon)

Yeah but they're stupidly much difference. For one, the almost complete lack of army management and control. The closest would be something like Meepo or Nature's Prophet.

Things were shit back then. My toy soldiers were rocks and I had to push them up a hill, both ways.

That's the difference between UDK3 and UDK4. You'll be seeing much better AO in 'next'-gen games. Although probably not quite as good as this, because this is a very small level on a rather high end machine.

YOUR AVATAR!

Yeah fans tend to get hyped up too much from small things like that. Only thing about Nintendo and gender I heard recently was an incorrect rumor about Link being female now. Which frankly, I kind of like. Link and Sheik look gender fluid (if I'm using the term correctly?) and thus both little boys and little girls

I hardly ever visit kotaku these days. Probably over a week ago since last time. What about nintendo?

In any debate/argument/etcetera, knowing if and when your 'opponent' uses fallacies or spouts bullshit is only the beginning. It's much harder to gracefully respond in a way that doesn't leave you vulnerable yet is honest and advances the discussion. Simply calling it out only leads to discussing who is using what

This:

You're the one insinuating I beat people up, and then you're telling me I'm belligerent because I'm not beating people up?
