Leland I agree, Ben was okay, but not all that.

Great series, a lot better than what I expected. Granted, it had it's flaws. The absolute worse scene in the series happened to be the last, so for once I find myself agreeing with the reviewer's usually inappropriate complaints of female victimhood. But the last scene was indeed silly.

Just finished watching the series on Google Play, and I will have to say it was really good, at times great. But I have to agree with the poster who said the finale was something of a let down. It was very a good episode in it's own right-I'd probably give it a B+-I just don't think it should have been the finale. Now

@avclub-358658fe52d09084a2ed990b0129c6ca:disqus good points. I admit the major flaw in my theory is your "stray bullet" observation, but I figured Tony would just make sure to get the very best.

Not the best of episodes, but it had its shining moments.

Okay, think about this. What is "selfless" about a man wanting to die a quick and painless death on his own terms as opposed to spending the rest of his life in prison, with nothing? And then there's a possibility of a federal death sentence, depending on what kind of info Carlo gives up. Commission of murder in

Yeah I like the Little Carmine theory too. But the reason I prefer this one is it fits the overall theme of the show. Tony maintaining ultimate control over everything to as great an extent as possible. Even the manner of his death when he saw any other option was now untenable. Believe me, a man like Tony Soprano

Tony was obviously proud of his ancient Roman heritage. He even advised Junior in Pax Sopranas to treat his underlings more like Octavian treated his. And of course, suicide was an important component of ancient Roman law. In the event of man of stature was charged and convicted of a crime against the state or the

In the comments to last weeks review of
Cold Stones, I laid out why I thought there was a good case for
Little Carmine being the killer of Tony Soprano, but went on to say
this was only my second favorite theory.

Another point, Carmine is assumed to be retarded, but his malapropisms might be more of a condition like dyslexia. He might be like Johnny Smash, with a condition that makes him look clownish, but a lot more intelligent than he actually seems to be. Guys like that, so easily underestimated, can be deadly.

I don't think the visit to Phil's house was a set-up, I think that was on the level. But if Phil told Carmine afterwards, Carmine would look at it like Phil was just following the orders of the boss of the family. Tony would have been under no such obligation to do so, other than as a personal favor to Johnny Sac.

That was actually Butchie with the line about cooler heads prevailing, standing in the doorway talking to Carmine and Tony. Phil was upstairs yelling shit at them as they left. That brings out another pertinent point, though. Maybe that was the point when Phil decided to call Carmine and say something like "you know
