There’s nothing WRONG with Beyond Earth. It’s just... boring.

I want something that sub-sorts or tags cards by what it improves (production, science, espionage, whatever). The economy and military cards in particular are just way more diverse and having to search 25 of them to find the one I want is tedious.

Is it just me or do many of the wonders feel underwhelming? Especially now that they take up a tile, some of the benefits seem pretty marginal. A couple are generically strong (Stonehenge omg, Ruhr, Oxford, the Pyramids, any that give you a free policy slot) some are situational, and many are just a waste of hammers.…

Scythians are incredibly strong. I haven’t compared with Sumeria but 2-for-1 horse archers and healing when you defeat a unit is ridiculous. I steamrolled an army twice my size with no losses with mostly just horse archers and generals.

League isn’t really an “old game” from a gameplay perspective. They meaningfully overhaul the competitive balance of the game at least twice a year in preseason and mid-season updates, and do about two dozen small patches besides that, so that the meta game shifts much more rapidly than most older games.
