I recently discovered some YouTube channel streaming a half dozen Critic episodes in a continuous loop! That was a fun trip down memory lane, enough to get me to dig out my Full Series DVD box set from the mothballs for a rewatch! Did you know the box set had some creator commentaries? Those were fun as hell to listen

Stil one of the great reaction videos to keep around in your back pocket.

This show should be immortalalized just for the green peaness joke

If you revere the first 10-ish seasons of The Simpsons, like most of the TV watching world, do yourself a favor and watch The Critic.

I still vividly remember the episode where Jay’s son - a student at the United Nations school - was in charge of building a float for the school’s parade. It was supposed to be a man on horseback, but because all his classmates left after they ate the pizza Jay provided, he was only able to complete the back half....

I didn’t know Gene Siskel had an account here.

Yi publicly tried to destroy Cross’s life and career”

Dude just pulled a “lol i trolled u all mad hard” bit of bullshit. I’ll give him half a point for being halfway erudite in his stupid attempt.

What the fuck are you on about?

This is a real peach of a sentence as well:

you know you’re straining for that word count when you’re writing “Paul McCartney, the second-eldest living Beatle”

What are you talking about? David Cross admitted to what Yi was saying

I don’t know what ‘worked’ might entail in that particular case, but Cross basically admitted to it. “Yeah I went up to her and pulled my eyes into slants and went ‘Ah so ching chong wing wah’ but I was doing that to make fun of the kind of person who would do something like that.”  Didn’t seem like it hampered his

“Brutal to have to read an article referring to one person as ‘they’ multiple times.”

Brutal to have to read an article referring to one person as “they” multiple times.

are YOU gonna be okay, you sound like a whiny bitch?

Yeah that must be so brutal for you. You gonna be okay?

I’m surprised it took them this long - Donnie Yen was the standout of John Wick 4 and has been a great action star for some time now. Plus the very last scene clearly set up a sequel for his character.

Just speaking for myself, it’s a huge red flag that of the critics who’ve seen it, every single one with a positive review has felt the need to preface their thoughts with a philosophical debate about what the words “good” and “bad” mean and if anyone truly has the right to judge someone else’s work.

Yeah, the allegations that he’s choosing to use an old school/analogue way of making a film rather than a quicker digital shortcut...is that supposed to upset me?
