People who make food for children are still called “cooks.”
People who make food for children are still called “cooks.”
Yes, this is a brand-new term that no one has ever used before.
Fired because he was secretly a DC mole.
It’s interesting how things transform adapted when I read, it was the beginning, and the gore was fun, and it was still the breathless pace, especially when the mainline comics seemed tied to the “decompressed” style. Otherwise, Invincible is a grabbag of famous plotlines, with clean art, a bit of a throwback in lots…
I don’t have a problem with long-ass movies as long as there’s a goddamn intermission. When I go to the theater and the first act is 90 minutes and the second act is an hour with a 15-minute intermission, that’s 2:45, and that’s not a problem because, and I cannot stress this enough, there’s a goddamn intermission.…
Because Trump loves putting down other people and absolutely erupts privately when publicly humiliated, so fuck him. Not to mention he’s literally the GOP presidential candidate during an election year, so there’s no escaping him “staying in the public consciousness” until it’s over. Jimmy burned him hard and I’m here…
I honestly don’t know why anybody bothers trying to humiliate a man who has no shame. Detractors are probably right that giving Trump the light of day in any situation just helps him stay in the public consciousness.
“Robbing” is a strong and inappropriate word. It would have been awesome to see Gladstone win because I really loved her performance, but Stone’s was also really incredible, and a much bigger part of her film. The award was up for grabs especially between the two of them, and not for Gladstone to lose.
I think you’re only saying that because you (presumably) didn’t live through 1955-1985, but did live through 1985-2015. People were still listening to Elvis in ‘85, and old TV shows were rerun ad nauseum. Reagan was bringing back the 50's morality trying to roll back all the hippie progress. Nothing ended then either.…
There’s something to this. Star Wars was at least gone - except for increasingly ludicrous books and some primitive video games - from 1983 to 1997, when the special editions came out.
Harry Potter won’t even go away for that long.
I think one of the reasons so many Potter adults (and Disney adults, and whatever other way-too-hardcore fandom of children’s entertainment you can name) are unable to let go is because nothing ever ENDS anymore.
I assume she’s also going to PowerPoint Slide into his DMs...
It’s execution dependent, of course, but this is the kind of thing that has tons of potential. SNL season1 — and of course the first episode — was deeply unfunny and far from the well oiled machine everyone likes to deride now. Land of Gorch is painful to watch. Aggressively unfunny. And that’s because everyone was…
A lot of people do. Jalopnik and it’s commenters like to be contrarian. If it’s popular it must be bad. But these same people here were droning on and on about how good Nardo was when it was released. If it wasn’t on rav4s and sonatas people here would probably still be talking about how good it is.
Although I’m a fan of gray cars, my own being of a mineral gray color like this one...
I’m the weirdo that likes this color. It’s a little different than the black, white, & silver that every other car is without being too crazy and putting off, what seems to be, the majority of buyers. But still, bring on the crazy colors too.
This means we’re six months away from ABC announcing their new show about a sassy robot.
