Huh. I too saw it in the cinema when it came out and loved it.

The comic is a good story and the movie is a well directed funtime?

Do note that article authors usually don’t write headlines, even at the A.V. Club, so it may not be Carr’s fault.

I’m still doing the “never intentionally watch a Tik Tok video” challenge and will only stop when I raise $50 for dinner at Texas Roadhouse.

In Mystery Inc. we learn his true love is making traps, and he has no time for mere flesh and blood men or women.

Maybe in the 70s she looked frumpy.  Nowadays, when we don’t categorize people so narrowly, she’s a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

What are you talking about? Fred and Daphne had lots of romantic innuendo in the original cartoon. You’re just so used to heteronormative media that it doesn’t even register. Lesbian women aren’t automatically more sexual than the heterosexual people you’re already watching.

Similar, but I ascribe it to someone knocking on the shitter door and them breaking their concentration when they have to shout “HEY! OCCUPADO!”

I have to keep asking why we’re blaming the writers when management won’t spring for a copy editor?

This tweet should be the last, best Tarzan content.

Recently there was a death in our family. He was a little dog named Snuggles.

I got the sense she wanted to be a parent, but it suggested that the men controlling her and her life essentially made her get the abortions, and that’s why she viewed the abortion as a bad thing that she felt uncomfortable about. I really don’t think that’s the same thing as saying “abortions are bad things”

I believe you have described “George of the Jungle”

Why are people trying to spin Cheadle getting a starring role in a film as bad? You want to know why this became a movie? It seems pretty obvious. You notice that She-Hulk has had like one and a half fight scenes so far? It’s because they’re crazy expensive to make on a show budget. Now just imagine the show is not

When asked for comment, Trevorrow said, “Ye$, we probably $hould have $topped at the fir$t movie. I feel that Jura$$ic Park, the one relea$ed back in the fir$t half of the ninetie$, was inherently unfranchi$eable.”

I described the climax of Into Darkness to a friend who had managed to forget the film (Kirk goes into the warp drive and kicks a thing into another thing! Then he returns to the entrance and dies of radiation poisoning while he and Spock make the Vulcan salute! Spock yells Khan and then has a big tantrum, chases down

It isn’t meant to be Shatner’s Kirk though. The new films exist in an alternate reality where things butterflied greatly thanks to time-traveling future Romulans who were pissed off at the original Spock for failing to save their homeworld when their sun went Supernova. They took a futuristic planetary mining ship to

Beyond was my favorite of the nuTrek movies, though next to Into Darkness it’s hard not to be a huge step up. I thought that it was where the intention, aesthetic and references all lined up to successfully turn Star Trek into a fun action movie.
