I think the person you called a “cunt” was wondering the same thing.

Yeah. This is the antidote to the grim-dark-edgy covers that every other trailer does.
Okay, but Landau is unbelievable in Ed Wood. And honestly, Jackson isn’t even who I’d give that Oscar to from Pulp Fiction. That said, I would give him the Oscar for Jungle Fever. That’s a knockout performance.
I’m not that big of a QT fan as most people on this board are, with that said Jackson was great in Pulp Fiction but you know what other QT movie he was great for and could have gotten a Supporting nomination for? Django Unchained, he was amazing in that movie and even better than Leo was in it.
Sorry, but no.
Jackson was freakin’ incredible in Pulp Fiction - no doubt - but Martin Landau topped him.
Just my $0.02.
I scrolled past this post a couple of times before reading the sub headline. I thought it was about a video game based on the David Duchovny series and was having fun a bit of fun imagining how points could be scored.
He liked Brokeback - just not as a Western. I think he’s mostly just being a nerd about what is and isn’t a Western while ignoring that Cumberbatch’s character was essentially a rich kid cosplaying as a cowboy. “Are we to believe he wore chaps while not riding a horse? I hope somebody got fired for that blunder!"
The Western movie genre has become this avatar for a certain type of American masculinity which has been apparently very pervasive and toxic in American culture. So the movies have been a way to interrogate gender stereotypes, men told not to be emotional and show affection to their loved ones, dominating others (…
I’m not sure if he meant the “woman” part in a disparaging way - it seemed like he was using the word because he couldn’t say “this guy.” More concerning is the fact that he’s had just about enough of those homosexual cowboy fellers.
my new rule for queer representation is that if the filmmakers have to tell me about it in an interview outside the text, it’s not queer representation
i’m all for catwoman being a woman of the world, but if this is all you’re gonna do then why even bother
god damn I’m sick of all these movies “hinting” at queerdom with its central heroes/villains.
Instead of The Batman & Morbius, we should’ve gotten a Man-Bat movie this year!
If men dancing together is gay, then Stalag 17 is the gayest movie ever filmed.
Have you seen Robert Pattinson in any non-Twilight movies?
The Bullitt chase is great, but let’s be honest, the rest of the movie is about as gripping as watching toast go stale. I’d like to see it remade with a plot that I can actually stay awake for.
It’ll be that dude from the new Reacher show. Watch.
Even the “good” seasons are 5 episodes too long.
Let’s not kid ourselves. We got between five shows and one crossover event we got maybe two goods season of TV. Pretty much none of these shows could manage a decent second season and some failed right out of the gate.
It seems silly, and it probably is. But it’s also true that the name Disney has very different implications and a deep cultural association with family fare in the US that it doesn’t have elsewhere, being that it is an import. Most places, Disney is just seen as an exporter of American culture among many others (see…
