Trump voters were going to shrug their shoulders at Trumps groping with or without Steven Bannon. They believe that PC culture has taken over the country so all the stories about Trump acting gross and racist were going to be dismissed as lies or overreaction by the liberal media and the PC police Democrats.

Are all of Trump's supporters racist? No. Did they all just vote for a racist? Yes.

No joke, the worst is on the way. Terrorists attacks are going to make Trump go full on fucking nuts like he was just insulted by Rosie O'Donnell. I'm guessing people will start bombing his buildings.

Big time. Also he'll ban all the Muslims from coming here. Then some wing nut who was born and raised here will shoot up a mall in response to the Muslim ban, then Trump will turn around and say "see this is why we have ban these people from coming here." Never mind the fact that the shooter was from the U.S.

I think the other problem is that a lot of people who supported Trump, (most?) believe the PC culture has taken over this country so when they hear the media pointing out all the racist, sexist shit that Trump said they just shrug their shoulders and chalk it up to over sensitive PC hysterics.

This article touches on something we're gong to see a whole lot of in the days ahead, mind boggling denial. I'm betting Trump supporters will point to all the acts of racist vandalism and say, "how do we know that the supposed victim didn't spray paint all those racist messages themselves to make us Trump supporters

Sounds like a metaphor for the Obama years.

Considering that America just shit the bed I think it's appropriate.

Nah I know that's not going to happen. I just don't want to deal with another candidate that can get wrapped up in Bill and Hillary's baggage. In the future when I'm a sixty year old man I don't want to hear Republican's asking Senator Chelsea Clinton about shady shit that was happening at the Clinton Foundation a

I totally hear you and agree but I'm so jaded right now I feel like even in fifty years Republicans will be blaming the effects of climate change on anything else by climate change.

No. No more Clintons. You bring Chelsea in and Republicans will gleefully tie her to both her parents all of their fuck ups and the "corrupt" Clinton Foundation. I don't want to be hearing about this shit in anymore future elections.

Tricky? I'd say impossible.

Yeah but a lot of Trump's supporter are racist, sexist pieces of shit. Was the left just supposed to not comment on that?

Pretty much agree with this but lets not kid ourselves into thinking that some, (many?) of Trump's voters aren't fucking racist.

It's seriously depressing how overlooked climate change was during this election but the sad reality is that a lot of voters don't give two fucks about climate change. They care about the economy and job creation.

I hope you're right but I have zero faith that the Democrats are going to be able to regroup by then.

Honestly I don't even know what Obama means when he says that considering that what Trump considers a success and what Obama thinks is a success are probably two very different things.

I think that's it more than anything. I think age is part of it, (despite the fact that Trump won at 70), but more than anything else I don't get the vibe she want's the job.

I really hope that's the case, but isn't it true that she hasn't past one piece of legislation? I'm a fan of hers, don't get me wrong, but if we're being honest here isn't she literally all talk? I guess she has time to get more experience between now and then.

Yeah I'm pretty convinced that Republicans won't do a damn thing about climate change until the water's up to their nose and then they'll turn around and blame it all on the Democrats.
