I thought there were far worse movies than the first one (not exactly a glowing recommendation...), but felt Hayek was the worst art of it. Having a sequel as the title character = no thanks.

Good lord, the whole point of the game is to beat the shit out of whomever the opponent is. Are we going to complain when she is removed entirely for the month? Where does it end?

Even with a year off because of Covid, audiences are Marvel-fatigued. Combine that with properties such as... <checks notes> the Eternals and Shang Chi, I just don’t see audiences lining up around to block to see them. And we’ve seen the trailer for Black Widow--as much of a staple as she has been for the last decade,

Nope, you’re not missing anything. It’s sensationalist garbage. The current status of the festival is buried far down in the “article” where most people probably won’t even read anyway.

Is this truly AV Club material? I would guess there are at least twice more words in this article than would be interested in the subject matter.

I don’t play RE games, but really, can someone explain the lingering fascination with this one character?

Let’s be honest, it’s Wahlberg, so, well, you know. No harm no foul.

You lost me at “Start slideshow”. What site is this?

I *used* to be a big fan of this show. Seen every episode multiple times, yada yada yada (oops, different show). I can’t say I am interested at all in this sad attempt to try and make Friends relevant again. Between this and new LEGO sets, I wonder who is pushing for all this?

No kidding. Who here was waiting with baited breath for a prequel to Wonka? Anyone? Anyone? No one in the back? Show of hands?

I agree 100%. It looks like an interesting movie (though no plot is really given away as it is, so who knows) if somewhere other than the MCU. It just feels too far removed from the tried and true, and the familiar characters we already know.

Two main responses.

100% agree. I mean, I really couldn’t care less about what someone spends their money on. But this stuff? I’m not sure who dreamt up this whole concept of using blockchain for NFTs, but surely they didn’t intend on it to be used for random garbage like this.

I would say the lack of other comments means you pretty much summed it up.

Yep, there’s no way they were going to win that one. They should have just stuck with “Swinton was the best person we auditioned for the part, the gender and race were irrelevant” and left it at that. The same people unhappy with it are probably the same ones upset about the Mandarin in IM3.

I may have to give this a try! We built a new house about 7-years ago. The cabling was done prior to us knowing what our satellite/cable provider would be at the time, so all the coax cables are just hanging out of a hole in the wall in a small closet in the basement. Really regretting not doing cat5 (at the time)...

As with most things political, I’m sure the truth is somewhere in the middle. Her “go f yourselfwas probably in response to a specific comment lobbed at her after the first part, conveniently left out of the story. Or better yet, give us the full quote and context, not broken up with an “added” statement.

Quote: “The issue isn’t Twitch removing ads. It’s them doing so without any clarification of what their guidelines are,” she said. “We saw this coming. Everyone expected it. No one expected it without communication, though. Just, like, a stealth removal.”
