I can definitely appreciate banning photos taken under those circumstances. I've never seen anyone get that serious about it; I've only ever seen the iPhones whipped out for a quick picture. I can't imagine someone getting out of their seat to take one. That is a little too serious and absurd.

What's the point of banning the pictures? Isn't it generally free advertising for the restaurant? I'm sure the vast majority of pictures are taken because the food looks amazing.

They generally don't; not where I come from. I worked at a vegan restaurant and most of the customers there were incredibly friendly and great tippers. Additionally, I'm a vegan, as were most of the people I worked with there, so we all know how to tip. Thethanx's experience isn't everyone's.
