I'm surprised Shae, as a whore hasn't realised the obvious about the whole fairy-tale ending, while Sansa had after Season 1. Good Lord, she is not intelligent at all.

Tywin wouldn't actually be selecting the champion, he's the judge, not the prosecution. That'd be Cersei.

I had a bit of a 'so that's how!' moment while watching it again. I've been wondering how the show is going to have Dany finding out about Jorah's betrayal (leading to him being dismissed from her service), given in the books it had happened by this point. Tywin asked Varys if his little birds can make it into

Presumably they couldn't get Conan Stevens or the extra that played him in Season 2 (or he lacked the necessary ability) back.

It was their skulls, I believe. And the line was Joffrey's, I'm certain.

He certainly did not say it was a family tradition, but his wife was his first cousin.

True. I have my own little headcanons about why they do, mind. It's more fun that way.

I think it could well come up within next week's conversation with Jaime about Tyrion throwing his life away. The reminder would be the debt that motivates Jaime to free him after the trial.

I'm fairly sure the fake Arya thing was set up in ASoS (well, her existence at least), in one of Jaime's chapters - as he arrives back at King's Landing, he meets her leaving with Bolton guards. She tells him she's Arya and how much she's looking forward to going home, so it's not really a contrivance.

A little bit unnecessarily sarcastic, surely? freaktown did say 'maybe that's how people from his part of Westeros speak'. I was just setting the record straight.

I don't really tend to notice his accent, but Tyrion and Jaime have the same sort of accent, while Tywin and Cersei have perfect RP despite being from the same place. It's a little weird.

I thought her a little bit dense by how she reacted when Tyrion sent her away, it seemed fairly obvious that he was acting to me, he looked as though he was in a lot of pain. Shae has a serious subtext problem. But even so, Sansa didn't do anything to her, so yes, her vindictiveness is completely unjustified.

She is massively paranoid though, you'd think that would count for something.

I think sending Theon off on his own, thus giving him space to breathe for the first time since Season 2 might not be the smartest of moves on Ramsay's part. He could well get a little sense of self back.

It was 'Bring my brown pants'

Well, the North (the real North, not the Boltons and Karstarks) would think she did everyone a favour there, I reckon.

I think they will still give her that story, and Gemma Whelan will become part of the main cast. It can be dealt with in 2 or 3 episodes, then the bit where she flees after Euron takes the crown etc can be in the back half. I do have my suspicions we'll actually see how Balon meets his maker and if there was any foul

Deepwood Motte? I'm fairly sure Asha/Yara leaves a garrison there to hold it.

But what would it achieve? It's not even a guilty verdict in Sansa's absence, and nobody else actually believes it. Cersei needs to keep Shae sweet or risks a backstabbing further down the line.

He has long quit working for them. The plot of Dany finding out and dismissing him has been delayed, presumably to give Iain Glen something to do, or else we won't see him till Tyrion gets to Essos.
