We are forced to give up all kinds of liberties. There are laws saying I can’t steal, that I have to pay taxes, that sort of thing. I’m OK living in a society that has these rules; compulsory service could be among them and I probably wouldn’t complain.

I would say I have a liter of soda in my center cup holder about half the time. It gets in the way of my manual shifter (‘09 Mustang GT), but I have developed a suitably un-ergonomic shifting position to accommodate this.
