Edit, supposed to be reserved for the Rattler...
Wait, wait, wait! What if the lenses were replaced with tiny CRT screens? It would be the Radwood era version of Pimp my Ride. I am sure they would be appropriately cheap. Plus, seeing as how you have to pay someone to recycle anything left with a CRT, you might actually make money on the deal!
David! This needs to be saved and finished in Jurassic Park livery. As a kid I was always annoyed that their fleet was not entirely Jeep. You, can fix this egregious problem. This would look rad and already has the requisite wood, CRT displays and brush (dinosaur?) guard. Throw in an inline 6 for easier fleet…
Your story is great. Your illustrations are even better! Truly great work. I think Jalopnik needs a cartoon series. Something about the antics of Jason and David. A sort of mashup of Dilbert meets Pluggers meets Zits. It would be wonderful and I now want to start every morning reading it. Get to work!
100% dick move. College kid + lateish model Wrangler means he has access to money somehow (family or stupidly high loans, either way he can afford the parking pass). If their parking department is like the one on my campus they will tow and impound for an offense like this. As much as I hate parking departments they…
Hmm... The Taycan does make me want to do bad, bad things. So maybe they aren’t far off. But the Cross Sport also makes me want to do bad things, so I am not sure. Maybe this is a situation where everybody starts off good and eventually succumbs to the dark side? Seems like a fun descent at least. At any rate, may…
The Sony with the usb on front also has a volume knob for what it’s worth. Its slow so it takes several turns to adjust volume. It’s screen is resistive not capacitive. In that same price range jvc/kenwood makes a CarPlay enabled stereo as well. I haven’t see it touched it but I would assume it’s close in quality and…
I’m gonna get tons of hate for this but, Venza? Toyotas “sexy” answer to Subaru? you get your choice of 4cyl or V6 FWD or AWD. Everybody forgets about them and if you don’t need quite the size of a Highlander you can get relatively low mileage examples in the budget. I have a Forester like the one suggested. It is not…
Try light rite available from Ryder fleet. I have coated my Toyota and Jeep headlights after sanding and polishing and both look factory fresh after 2 years of 100% outside parking in the Midwest. Totally worth the money to do it once and be done.
Side note to the story. That is way too much tongue weight for a Bronco II. Shift that axel assembly forward and now you are only fighting the short wheelbase of the baby Bronco. All that aside a range extending trailer is an interesting take. Boat trailer should be a no go though. I Imagine a scene similar to that…
How will they market this feature? I’m not sure most of their customers can count that high.
I love the comments about a boat being a money pit. It’s true. But the same can be said for about every other fun vehicle you can come up with, especially the vehicles that readers of this site own. It all boils down to you mechanical aptitude, dedication and priorities. I have friends that spend more going out to eat…
Solara is uh-meh-zing at the boat ramp. Love the looks I would get launching the sea doo with it. Not once did the car slip. Other meh-morable notes on the car. 10’ long conduit fits inside with the trunk closed. Also strut tower brace was standard I believe that gives a few hp if I am not mistaken.
