Okay, I get what you’re saying. And you’re totally right about Bane and Dent’s crimes, but I think people tend to overlook a lot of the internal struggles that Bruce grapples with in The Dark Knight.

I’m not quite sure what you mean. The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises are all about Bruce reckoning with his actions (in TDK, the void he created by dismantling the mob leads to the Joker and in TDKR his covering up Dent’s crimes and disappearing for 8 years), and Batman Begins is about him reckoning with his…
I’m excited for The Batman because the trailer looks great and I’m an unabashed Batman fanboy, but, meh. That lesson feels a lot like what we saw in Batman Begins. And to some extent, that’s how I feel about Matt Reeves’ take overall.
Well, I’m definitely going to have to hunt down a copy of that. Based on your essay here — I’d have to agree that Pattinson’s version of Bruce/Batman may be at least a very different version than we’ve seen on screen before, if not a more “definitive” version. I still like Bale’s the best, but only because we haven’t…
Honestly, we love our drive in lol. We get some subs and fancy cookies and eat in the car. I can take my four year to every movie without her bothering anyone. I can talk as much as I want and only bug my husband lol. Drive in are underrated
I just plain love how socially responsible this piece is. Love it.
Is it ironic that the only ones likely to survive a viewing of New Mutants would themselves be new mutants with greater resistances to Covid 19?
Oh, a wise guy, eh??
With this policy, I assume you no longer plan to review the killer tape from the Ring movies...
I have a friend who lives in Seoul, and he says he’s barely noticed a disruption in his daily routine.
Thank you for taking a responsible and thoughtful stance on this.
The most important decisions are rarely easy ones to make. I applaud your choice to take a hardline stance here.
Thank you for that positive POV. Even though two months seems like an eternity at present, it is a very grounding and calming reference point. I’ll take any calming point I can get at this stage of world-wide insanity.
Stay safe.

That’s fine and all...but a movie review isn’t (or shouldn’t be) an invitation to go see a film, in a pandemic or no. It’s to review the movie and to tell the viewer if it’s good or not (and even that’s subjective but I digress...). It’s two separate things. What the viewer does with that information is completely…
I saw an ad on tv for this last night and it actually looks better than expected. Can’t wait to catch it on Disney+ next year.
Wait a second, are they not even making digital screeners available for review? I got one for Gentefied, FFS.
So it absolutely blows, and they’re denying screeners because this is the perfect time to release without critical blowback and then blame the pandemic for awful performance anyway.
or even if it was a real movie at all and not some memory of one from an alternate, dystopian timeline
There’s a non-zero chance the first theater that tries to show it is going to be sucked into a black hole.
