That’s the thing about high frame rate - it makes everything TOO clear. I often have the same complaint about 4K televisions and media. For me, 1080p is about as high definition as it should get.

Same, I thought it looked really bad. The thing that got me was being able to see all the makeup on the actors, especially if it wasn’t blended properly on their necks. There’s such a thing as too much detail.
They actually used this technique in spiderverse. Miles moves at 12fps during action sequences while still training, making him seem jumpy and less graceful than the other spiderfolk, enemies are selectively sped up during fights to make them less predictable
Cafe Disco was hilarious, and I will hear nothing else of it. Nothing!
Yea, the upthread complaints about realism are sort of ridiculous, it’s a TV show. I will say though that this is where I stopped watching. The show was starting to go downhill with some eye rolling plotlines (cafe disco?) and it just seemed like Jim and Pam’s wedding was a natural end point. I watched the next…
If you rewatch the episode most of that is explained. They are having it at Niagara in the first place anticipating people won’t make the trip and thus can invite coworkers as a formality and to be polite without expecting them to actually attend. Michael then gives everyone the option of taking a paid day off to…
I saw the first Hobbit movie in HFR or whatever it was called, and while the dark scenes looked pretty great, all the battle scenes looked like they had been shot by your dad with a Betamax camera in the backyard. You know how they sometimes use rubber weapons in big battle scenes? Yeah, you could tell they were…
I’m guessing that seeing this in 60fps will be “good enough” (famous last words)? I don’t think normal people can really tell the difference. Gamers can probably tell the difference, but only because they have agency over their games and can test things out until they’re sure.
And he almost got a full number!
It was explained they didn’t plan for everyone to come they were just being nice. Then Michael gave everyone the time off if they went. Their private wedding was because Jim knew his brothers were going to pull the viral prank video after Pam specifically told the sister-in-law to Not Do It. Which all in all that makes…
I agree, but there is also the performative aspect within the world of the show, because they’re not regular office workers, they’re office workers who are filmed by a documentary crew around the clock for years (god knows why). So, for that reason, they may do things that normal, everyday, not-followed-around-by-a-doc…
Come on, give the guy a break. His dogs were barking
Frankly, no ending could have been darker than showing Kevin soaking his tired dancing feet in the hotel’s hallway ice dispenser.
That article also seems to expound the idea that pan is open to all iterations of gender, whereas bisexual seemingly abides by gender constructs, and possible excludes trans individuals. However, the biggest distinction in that article between the two, is that people who are pansexual identify as Pan. That’s largely…
“Dangerous misrepresentations”... give me a fucking break.. It’s a cartoon, not an academic discussion... up thread., someone has provided a sort of Q&A format on the differences between bi and pan, and there is a lot of crossover. Plus it’s not like it’s an “official” government document, where there’s consensus...…
But what of his neck?
Clinton wrote the dirty parts.
Yeah and you, someone who has no insight into the creative process that went into writing this episode, are nevertheless qualified to make that assumption.
I’m so sick of all these remakes and reboots. The original version of The President’s Neck Is Missing starring Troy McClure isn’t perfect but it has a special place in a lot of people’s hearts and it doesn’t need a remake. I don’t get why they changed the name, either, is the whole president missing in this version…
Spoiler: It turns out the President was actually on Little Saint James Island with his good friend, Jeff.
