Isn’t that scenes from season 3?

We say this fully aware that season four opens with a woman getting mowed down by a station wagon and climaxes with Tim Baltz pulverizing a man’s testicles.

I don't even consider Fred Rogers a children's entertainer.  He kinda transcends labels like that.  He's comparable to nobody but himself he was that special.

He was in the 3rd episode, and it was perfect. I think T&E were heavily influenced by his absurd comedy. There was an awesome SNL Digital Short with him and Andy Samberg getting drunk. The video was removed from YouTube and the NBC site. You can watch a crappy low-res version though:

He was my first comedy icon and shaped my sense of humor. My best Christmas ever was in 1989 when I was 3 years old and received a talking Pee wee doll, a talking Chairry, and that yellow and red Fisher Price toddler sized car. I placed Pee wee in the front seat and zoomed around the house with him. Best Christmas

Not trying to be a dick, but let’s not overreach. We still exist in the same timeline where Fred Rogers existed.

Fair point, he wasn’t an entertainer per se since he was rarely on camera. I’ll go with “best creator of children’s entertainment” and split the ticket. Win/win.

Henson was a miracle man, but he didn't host a show the same way, well not directly anyway.  But he was also a great.

I’ll share my one tiny Paul Reubens story.

Hard to leave Henson out of that discussion, but I wouldn’t argue against you.

I have to think every clip from Top Secret! has “funny scene” in the description.

No idea why, but my favorite moment of his was when he appeared for like 2 seconds as the moon on Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job. Caught me completely off guard.

Was he the best child entertainer?  Probably yeah.  I don't think I've ever see as creative a children's show since Peewees Playhouse.  Truly one of a kind and I'm really sorry it was cancer.

It would be nice if he rose from the dead. He was in a vampire movie, so maybe?

He was really funny, weird and sweet. And he had such a fascinating impact on comedy and design. His show helped popularize the Memphis style of design (https://www.claasshaus.com/blog/all-saved-by-the-bell-and-pee-wees-playhouse-the-memphis-group) and, when it came time to designing sets and toys, he partnered with

By all accounts he was a super nice guy. This is a hard one.

Pee Wee’s Playhouse is officially closed. 😢

This sucks.
