Dude, this is a antitrust class action suit involving 5 different law firms, nobody involved is going to be wasting their time on this if they didn’t think there was something to it.
Steam isn’t the only source for those codes, and some of those websites frequently resell codes that aren’t directly from the publisher themselves.
Websites like that don’t retail cheaper, they just have sales at times Steam doesn’t (and vice versa), of course websites like GMG have also straight up admitted that they get keys from third party vendors too, especially when the publisher chooses not to work with them for those deep discounts.
