Cool - I wasn’t sure what your main concern was, obviously. Looks like someone already addressed it. Good to know the PDK looks to be pretty solid - with lots of fluid changes, but that goes for pretty much all fluids on a race car.

Are you saying the PDK is not as robust as other F1 style auto-manuals?(what the hell is the official term now?) I think you are comparing the cost/complexity of this versus a traditional manual transmission - but you aren’t going to see many manuals on race day. Or any, unless it’s spec Miata racing. Race car = go as

IT’S A RACE CAR! YOU TRAILER IT EVERYWHERE!

I didn’t see the response I was expecting - and this is my larger complaint with Twitter and all social media. As I understand it, someone asked her directions in the street, she misidentified his ethnicity and did not attempt to speak to him in Spanish. How in the hell did that warrant a tweet? That might be worth 60

Ah, online games. So much promise. Ruined by dick heads. And it is every online experience. I have the solution, but it’s pretty extreme.

Hell, yes! If this is the Trackhawk with the Hellcat motor, than the Group B Quattro is what should be at the race. Let’s see how it does against that bad boy.

That’s what she wore?! I would prefer her wearing jeans and a t-shirt to that... dress? Granted, I have zero interest in making female performers dress any specific way, don’t care about their personal lives, their political views or what products they endorse. If I like their music, I listen to it. Apparently that

Awesome! Man, how fast was that van going when it hit the ramp? It got serious air. And the angle was perfect, lands dead flat. What an great movie.

It does run counter to the rules of respect held within the US Code for Patriotic customs. That said, a lot of things do. Including some insanely short hot pants I found on Amazon. Most people want to respect the flag the same way they want to be religious. Exactly as much as it is a convenience for them.

You think the red one is in better shape? I thought completely the opposite. I also thought the blue one was not 15K better shape. Go through the close up photos, there are a lot of dings and wear on trim. Trunk lifters are shot, the interior looks pretty dingy and that’s after a dealer cleaned it. Low miles and one

The point of this light-hearted experiment of NPOCP is to decide if someone has priced their car appropriately for someone else to buy, if they were in the market for that car. If your idea of a “nice price” is below market value, how do you buy anything? If the current name is too much for your pedantic soul, pretend

I shouldn’t post, but I can’t help myself. I knew I would see the same idiotic posts before I even scrolled down. “Oh, it will cost more than the national debt it two years. Whaa waaa.” This is a spectacularly appointed sedan that blasts to 60 in 4 seconds, can run a 69 mph slalom and do 122 mph in the quarter. FOR

I’m guessing Murray is mature enough to realize that your actions are fucking stupid. Just because you didn’t eat it and become a state-supported vegetable this time (hopefully only hurting yourself), doesn’t mean it was appropriate or safe. You idiots always think the same thing - “I am super safe and responsible

I figured, but I love that line (it’s been making me chuckle since the early 90s), so I couldn’t resist.

I’m sorry, I just can’t trust you.

I have spent a lot of time thinking about things like this. I’ve become rather obsessed with the restored, updated versions of some classics. The Eagles run over budget if you get ambitious with the options. The MG is around 100K - and from what I’ve seen about them, he’d never drive his F-type again.

I do so love some massive hyperbole in the morning. Can’t move under it’s own power? Thanks to the fact Ford didn’t make it weigh 4500 lbs, the Bullitt did 0-60 in 5.1 seconds and a 1/4 mile in 13.7 at over 103 mph. The crazy gains in HP we’ve seen as of late, people act like that is slow. You whipper snappers are

They did take those into account in this comparison. In each example, the tax savings was invested and added to the total in the comparison. I agree that is often not addressed when making comparisons. However, I question how many people take their tax savings from a traditional 401K and roll it into another

I could see the engine without a lift - but transmission, exhaust, brakes, LSD, the whole shebang? Possible on jack stands, sure. Smart? Not really. Fun? Hell no. I’m too old to take on a project like that without a lift.

So you are in for cars at 15.5K or so? Full swap, interior upgrade, replacement of parts worn on the old 5 and busted stuff from the M5? Labor? If you are a really good mechanic with a lift, doing a bunch yourself - maybe you could do it for less? I would think you could do it for less than the purchase price and the
