Yeah, but that’s 33% of 1%! STAGGERING amount!
(except that it’s not and the greatest threat to Americans are the evil and greedy)

I’d second that. It’s supposed to (well, maybe) impose rules, fair play, and official program conduct. It’s barely able to function as a unit much less accomplish anything.
You know things are awful when institutionalized rape, commodification of women, cover-ups and the like at a “Christian” private university are among the least terrible things on the news lines.
It’s worse when among the terrible things, they’re perpetrated or supported by people who call themselves “Christians.”
Makes…
So then, if it was his daughter or a friend’s daughter...or if there was a serious injury as a result? I bet his answer would be different.
Like, there’s “play stupid games/win stupid prizes” but that usually involves violent acts against police. But in this case, it needs to apply when it’s an officer going well out…
I just wonder why almost every computer aimed for gamers stinks of 1999 tryhard design?
“LET’S SLAP THIS POORLY-CONCEIVED LOGO ON IT, MAKE THE EDGES GLOW RED OR GREEN, AND JUST GENERALLY MAKE THIS THING UGLY AS SIN.”
It’s also disheartening when folks are like, “fuck Texas” meanwhile, there’s people here fighting the good fight while they hang out somewhere else. That’s some REMF shit right there.
Until the Democrats get a better handle on how to convince rural/poor white folks to stop voting against their interests, no urban pocket of Texas will be able to cover for the easy-answers voting and gerrymandering of the state.
“Teaches other businesses not to put grenades in their airbags” or some shit, idk. I’ll always fantasize about a system that personally holds people criminally responsible for sizable, egregious business decisions with awful results. Stuff like deaths or you know, crippling an economy.
The funny thing about globalization as the argument is that it assumes that companies *must* go overseas to operate, rather than retrain, reorganize, or otherwise aim to stay in the US. Globalization as an argument is like saying “my football team sucks because other teams are in the league, not because my team is…
If only more people knew that and looked past the worst parts of our Cold War propaganda.
*to clarify, fuck the USSR, but we did ourselves no favors in dumbing down our messaging on the reds.*
The taxation = theft line is intellectualy lazy. Taxes pay for civilization. They pay for laws, regulations, infrastructure, administration, and training. They also pay for the concept of civility - the mindset that we don’t need to be at condition red at all times, and that we’ve all signed on to government by…
The idea of breaking that income gap issue has to happen at the consumer level. They’ll be the only thing that sways the corporations into changing how they compensate their employees and how they handle their profits and revenues.
What really kills me is that corps can still make their money. Hell, they may make even…
He went straight to the city about it all. Funny thing is that on only one occasion did the grass present any problems, and that was after we’d seen rain for almost 3 weeks straight.
Better to have corrupt and smart versus corrupt and stupid. At least corrupt and smart won’t accidentally break the whole fucking thing.
The biggest concern with this guy...is that he’s all over the map. But then again, this is the same guy that tried to bring the USFL against the NFL in the fall, and then play the whole thing off.
We won’t know what he actually thinks as he can’t do a proper statement. He’s a continously destabilizing element, and if you don’t like the US, he’s your best friend.
Like the Carrier deal. :/
The question is...what happens along the production line to hit that price? While I agree that there is a ton of price-gauging in our defense system, there’s also that whole thing about lowest bidder gear and those stuck in the field with it.
We kinda do - his business dealings (iffy), his personal affairs as statement of character (very iffy) and his consistency on campaign promises vs. current action (iffy to very iffy).
The first two criteria were enough to make sure I didn’t vote for him. I’ve said this time and again, but this guy is like the Johnny…
“Why can’t we use nukes?” “The full-system complement of the Air Force One is too expensive!” “Why can’t we get a different fighter that’s like the F/A-18 E/F or Super Hornet, not that I know anything about those either?”
I wouldn’t want this guy as a partner in a game of Starcraft. I for damn sure don’t want this guy…
