Except that it hit all the check boxes - linear narrative with some open world questing, exploration, magic, and blue menus. :P

I think the issue is how gamers view the series - they’re viewing it too much as a series when really, Final Fantasy is closer to a collection. It’s not a game series made up of sequels, it’s a collection of games with a few common elements and that’s it.

But that’s also what I like about it.

CDPR had time to really finesse W3. Bethesda didn’t really have time to polish FO4, so you can really see that in the quest design. It’s better than previous FO games, but it’s worse at the same time.

My only complaint with the games is actually Geralt himself. Or well, mainly the English voice actor and the fact that this is an open world title that has the player locked to a given physical appearance.

I’m spoiled by decades of Elder Scrolls, if that’s any explanation.

Ideally, a punchline that ends at his neck.

It’s not really something to joke about.

I feel like the guys in these situations - the male co-stars - need to do a bit to make sure their female co-stars are paid appropriately. “Wait, Lily’s getting as much as me? What’s that about?”

But more importantly, the fucking suits need to cut that shit out most ricky-fucking-tick.

If I find that a rig is speeding up or slowing down to a place where it’ll be pacing with me, I am more than happy to speed to get past it. I have absolutely zero desire to be near a rig when something, anything, happens with it.

The games really should be at a single, neutral site. All of this build-shit-to-decay really needs to end.
