This is such an excellent comment about this situation because the term sexually coercive is the perfect way to describe what was going down. It’s the exact thing I thought when I saw the images without actually having that term to describe what I was thinking.

I think it’s pretty clear that even if the parties did consent, the situation was one where consent could not have been freely withdrawn. So it’s a problem regardless.

Yeah, it’s an epidemic. Trans people, especially trans women, and most especially trans women of color, experience violence at a rate that would be a national panic were it against any other group.

I mean, there could have been another reason why a trans woman was driven to a random location, beaten up, then executed, but I think we all know this was a hate crime. The silent epidemic of trans murders continues.
