Duh, I’m a moron. Why did I think the original windshield just sprang into existence by divine providence like Adam on the roof of the Sistine chapel? You’re right. Almost certainly came from another car to begin with. Maybe a Marcos?

I would guess the same place SWM did. It’s probably a parts bin solution, and sourced from an existing model.

A Vauxhall with performance on par with a Ferrari—that’s mind blowing.

I want one.

Not sure how it looks dated. Unless “dated” means it looks like it wasn’t attacked by a madman with an ax. Maybe it is dated because it has windows you can actually see out of?

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will

This kind of over-regulation is at least part of the reason Brexit happened.

This study uses a hypothetical 30-year-old. I’d wager dollars to donuts that it’s still more expensive for a teenage boy than a teenage girl in all 50 states.

I can tell you historically, women don’t pay more in NJ. If they do now it’s a change of status form the past. I can dig up articles as recently as 2010 where literally the only state women paid more in was Iowa with women paying $11 more. The for men the premium ranged from $8 in Montana to $126 in Wyoming.

+1 didnt call them accidents.

My wife likes to brag about how she’s never gotten a traffic ticket, while I’ve had several (but none in the last eight years).

That’s lacking some context and men are actually safer drivers when factoring accidents per miles driven.

Men may speed more, and engage in other risky behavior, but my wife,my mother, and many other women I’ve known has done a fantastic job of F’ing up cars trying to park while sober...

Now playing

The pink tax is a load of crap. Women’s products like shampoos have way more ingredients than those directly marketed to men. Women’s razors use more on cartridge moisturizers. Plus if everything really is the same they can just buy the cheaper men’s version but they don’t.

Same in Illinois.

This must be a new revelation, when I first started driving it was the complete opposite in NY, Male drivers paid a lot more.  I remember specifically asking my insurance agent about it.  He laughed and said I’d have paid $200 a year less if I was female.  Something about men being more prone to racing and taking

Alternate heading:

Wut? Back many decades ago my dad’s insurance agent told him I should’ve been born female when it came to Michigan auto insurance for teenagers. Leave it to the actuaries to turn things around.

This is why i have no desire, nay, refuse to buy a new car. Why the literal fuck?

an entire article and you never mentioned the worse part of touch screens?
