Mark my words, the new frontier for money making in automotive parts is custom 3d printing all of those unique plastic clips, hopefully out of a fiber or carbon fiber reinforced plastic.”

In that vain I remember working in a body shop and having a Hyundai come thru that required 8 12$ each clips per side for the rockers.

I couldn’t agree more. One of the main reasons old cars are so fun to drive is you can actually see out of them. Unfortunately it’s also the reason my wife won’t part with her crap can 2003 Liberty..

I don’t know if cars have gotten too good, but beltlines have gotten too high and outward visibility has gotten terrible.

Typical political plan. Long on nice things we want to do - absolutely nothing on how the hell we pay for it all.

I’m guessing the poll was given to Berkley students.

Picking out one detail: Signing up for a brand new Factory Five Mk4 or Superformance Shelby gets you a better car than an original Cobra in every detail but authenticity. It rides better, runs better, shoot - it even gets better mileage. The only thing it doesn’t have is actual history.

I am both proud and sorry to report that the same fate has reached your favorite Japanese performance cars.

you can get infinitely more performance and safety and tech and everything from a newer car, often for a lot less money

Financial news is some of the most speculative (and potentially harmful) conjecture I’ve seen in my life. I used to think as a child that the stock market was the final frontier of personal finance and adulthood, a place where people put their emotions and biases aside to make calculated, informed decisions. Needless

“The man doesn’t understand international trade on a fundamental level.”

A LOT of stories don’t make the nightly news, slugger.

“no one seemed to complain about it.”

Can we get Kinja built in China?  Because this bullshit new notification system sucks.

For Uber it’s 1 every 15000 miles. That’s in the article...

Internal Uber documentation shows a crash every 15,000 miles. That’s fucking insane. If a human driver had a record like that they’d be unable to buy insurance and likely have their license revoked.

Practically no domestic company is producing oil profitably at the current price.

I hope SDC’s are a joke and that anyone who attempts to purchase one will have their license revoked on the spot.
