“But Teslas have more range!” cry the Moonies, while also claiming that range anxiety is for losers because most people only drive 30 miles a day...

The mindset of of ‘let me wait on a list for my $50,000+/- car and then fuck around by towing it against the maker’s recommendation’ is foreign to me. Then again, I'm also not looking for youtube clicks.

This is stupid. You’re using more “miles of range” in the towing vehicle to store that energy in the Tesla. Maybe he gets multiple miles of range in the Tesla when towed a mile, but the C-Max used up more than that much energy to tow it (due to losses).

This is a terrible way to recharge a vehicle, and horribly inefficient. First, it’s essentially like towing a car with its brakes on, so the tow vehicle is going to burn through whatever fuel it’s using at a huge rate. Second, the vehicle being towed is essentially braking the whole time which means extra load on its

Especially if you ignore the coal fired plant that generates the electricity.

But it still has "no emissions," right?

Thanks for the clarification. It’s rare that I let myself get drawn in by these kind of ‘journalistic’ shenanigans, but Today I Learned

Takeaway: Don’t be a dick, then act like a martyr when you’re caught being a dick. That doesn’t make you a martyr, it makes you a bigger dick.

And, therein, lies the nub of the anti-Tesla argument. Not that electric cars are inherently bad. They offer some advantages, while those selling eVs have yet to labor through certain sales objections. (charge time, true costs, charge availability, massive waste in battery production, to name a few)

All brackets below unlimited hybrids must run in full OEM form with no modifications to the drive, control or battery systems. While the Model 3 is an EV this rule should apply to them equally. Aside from that, if the time attack was twice as long the Model 3 would have gone into reduced power mode for even more lulz.

Global Time Attack said they even offered to bump Rogers up to the Unlimited class, but he turned that down. He was apparently fine with being DQ’d.

No, in reading the article and according to the race Stewart, this did not happen. It was kayfabe and nothing more. You’re falling for the schtick. There is not controversy and no anti-EV conspiracy, just EV-bros trying to perpetuate a false narrative to get attention.

Tesla drivers act like jerks... no news here

The house of lies came crumbling down when someone removed a load bearing poster of Elon Musk.

Most Tesla’s burn coal, no? Fairy dust doesn't sprinkle on Generation plants.

what if I told you it was staged to get the Tesla owner his clickbait needed for his vlog?

This headline is very misleading, there’s a big difference between “Electricity is not a fuel” and “Electricity is not listed as an approved fuel”

It’s true! Electricity is not a fuel!

But the coal that the power plant burned sure was.

Suck it, losers! You’ve all been defeated by the ultimate in external combustion technology!

Many racing events I’ve been a part of will let anyone race, and rely on other racers to cry fowl about classing and modifications violations....

So I’m not sure if its really on the organizers.

clearly you dont race...
