The real problem here is the inconsistency in how penalties are levied. Drivers make bad decisions all the time that take other drivers out of the race and it gets called a racing incident.

As soon as the penalty came through I stopped really watching the race.

While he may have taken more track than required, the penalty is extremely harsh for something that could have been filed under “race incident - no further action required” and made the event looks like a shit show.

Thomas Gibson kicked a writer and got canned immediately, and he had been the star of Criminal Minds for about a decade. I guess you could argue that NCIS is a cash cow so they were more lenient, but somehow I don’t think that’s the case.

She seems like some people I know that really like drama and their reactions to slightly uncomfortable situations turns the entire thing into a huge ordeal where they are (1) given a lot of attention; and (2) believe themselves to be severely mistreated.
