@grunhido: Yeah, I read it as the later of your options. With each store represented by a database containing entities for each item they sell. I assume it would be less than 35 million if the databases themselves could be filtered as to type of product.

@grunhido: It wouldn't in the way you worded it. However, looking up the items from all the different stores would require a unique search 7000 times for each of the 5000 items.
