Gah, don’t know how I didn’t see that before posting!
Gah, don’t know how I didn’t see that before posting!
A very important detail left out of this article. The stream, started by hbomberguy, was created because Graham Linehan (creator of the IT Crowd and Father Ted) is a huge transphobe. The charity in question had recently been awarded 500k over five years, but Graham raised a huge stink about it claiming among other…
I just realized - Phil Lord and Chris Miller have written the two best (in my opinion) animated films of the last decade. I’m so glad Spidey is getting all the recognition it deserves.
Imagine if they released them on the same day even!
Well, James Gunn is writing the next Suicide Squad film so that looks to also be fun.
I wouldn’t say it’s an ego thing at all - Paramount signed contracts and was trying to go back on them, that’s shitty and the actors are in the right abandon the franchise.
I’m super curious on how the MCU will be seen 30 years from now. I personally love the MCU, though I don’t think any of it’s films are “great” but I also think that all of it’s films are good at the least. It’ll be interesting to see what effect the MCU will have on pop culture in the long run (not just dozens of…
This show was a gem and I think, destined to be a cult classic. Hopefully somebody on some network decides to save it. Maybe they could put it on the new Warner streaming service? Doubt it’d be a big draw but I could find a whole new audience there.
I’m guessing they changed the name of Chewie in order to try and keep the reveal a surprise or something but putting the Flerkin in all the marketing just making everybody talk about it more.
For me there is only one movie this year: Far from Home. I love me some Spider-Man.
Spider-Man Homecoming is by far my favorite MCU film - I hope this can break the Spidey-film curse.
I’ve been watching Titans (released internationally on Netflix this past Friday) and it’s much better then any of the trailers gave it credit for. It’s not excellent but it sure is a lot of fun and it’s super-refreshing have a superhero TV series set in a pre-established world that we’re just coming into. Also the…
oh yeah... that also happened. It would be quite funny if the Man-Bat just showed up a couple of time in Gotham and was teased as a potential villain but never got dealt with. Maybe just have him fly-by in the background of the final episode.
I’m pretty sure Man-Bat showed up in the season 4 finale briefly so he could be appearing!
Man, you weren’t lying - that is some angry sandwich eating!
You know what? I wish everyone would just shut up about non-Superhero movies - they’re freaking EVERWHERE. I can’t go into a theater without seeing a poster for a Us, or If Beale Street Could Talk, or Eighth Grade, or Instant Family, or Green Book - NONE OF THOSE MOVIES ARE REAL, THEY’RE ALL MADE UP GARBAGE.
I’m pretty excited for this since this series and John’s JSA were my gateway into modern DC comics. John’s work at DC is always, at the least, fun so I expected this to be as well.
I’d say if you really enjoyed I’d recommend picking it back up in Season 2. The Vile Village/Hostile Hospital really change up the plot in a way that makes the latter-half of the series much better then the first.
The Series of Unfortunate Events finale seemed to prove to me that the whole show should have been 13 episodes in total. Don’t me wrong, I enjoyed the series overall, but the pacing just wasn’t that great. Still, I loved the books as a child and it was a joy to finally see adapted. Also the finale was made me…
But Lil’ Bruce Wayne is one of the best parts! Him and Alfred’s plotlines are always great fun.
