Understand that you recommended to talk smack “when they’ve found it a dick that should be talked smack about”. You’ve climbed that hill before me.

for approximately 30 minutes.

Next time aguy talks smack about your body, take it in stride and remember your own comment. No body shaming, just ‘a body that should be talked smack about’.

when you’ve processed the idea that women trash collectors exist

My point is, that there ARE women who would love to work those hard labour jobs, and are fighting to be able to do so.

I don’t infer that at all, but unlike you I live in the real world were not all people are the same and aspire to the same jobs regardless of gender. Men will never seek to nursing and teaching jobs the same way women do and women will never seek hard labor jobs at the same number men do.

‘to check the gender of any garbage disposal workers receptionist, why would you?’

Or, you know, men are just not that interested in teaching little children.

Yours is unlimited and the absolute truth?

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been working for a living for 30 years now. As I said in another comment - the unicorns of garbage disposal. Showing a pic of a woman in this line of work is still the proverbial man-bites-dog-story. There are also pics of female firefighters, yet 96% of all firefighters are men.

Of course not. A guy who landed a job as a staff writer for jezebel has proven to have a penchant for the most unusual jobs.

If I called them garbagemen, I’d be hounded for the gendered language, if I called them garbage workers, it would be a pretty rude statement about the quality of their work. Wastepicker maybe?

Does that men, that when it comes to hiring nurses or teachers, professions where men are underrepresented, men are discriminated against? It must be, bc there can be no other explanation. I’m sure there are literally millions of women who would looove to work in those hard labor jobs, alas it’s the patriarchy holding
