Get ready to take that yard-shit!

Torch is a tresure and we humanity don’t deserve him.

Seriously Jason, your saga of the Changli was one of the very few uplifting and absolutely heart-warming stories of last year. I looked forward to every new development, loved every word, and was so glad when it really seemed to turn out well. If you’re having birthday cake and soda raise a toast, and thanks for all

I love the Changli updates because I have never seen someone so enamored with a machine as you are with it. The pure joy on display here is delightful.

If sentences like this were common in cases like this, people would feel like there is a measure of justice in the United States, and if sentences like this were common in cases like this, there would be far fewer cases like this.

Hard to be happy when you really think about what it took for the simple outcome of murder being convicted and appropriately sentenced for the crime he committed on fucking camera.

“My son is a good man!’

Let me get this out of the way cuz I know someone’s thinking it “Some of you just can’t be happy”

Monthly cost of not dying from insulin deficiency in Canada: ~$10
Monthly cost of not dying from insulin deficiency in US: ~$1,000

Chauvin’s mother’s statement made me immediately understand how a cruel, cowardly, terrible person like her son was created.  Imagine the incredible lack of self-awareness and empathy it would take to stand in front of the Floyd family and try to make yourself the victim.  “But you’ll be sentencing meeeeeee as well as

Its US insurance industry propeganda. It’s simply not true. Signed, a Canadian.

This is why the right to repair is so important, also check the warranty. (and the small print).

100% in Ontario (I can’t speak to other provinces) there is a far higher importance placed on preventative care. Basically care making sure people never have to come in for surgery in the first place. It is not always effective but it’s the larger intent. It can be very difficult when there are limited spots for

Call me crazy but maybe it’s time we start electing the politicians that say “healthcare is a human right” instead of the politicians that tell us Medicare For All is pie in the sky.

You are correct - the person you’re responding to has internalized the right-wing talking points and trying to exercise critical thinking based on a platform of misinformation.

My brother spends ~50% of his would-be savings on insulin.

How Canada deals with remote medical assistance varies province by province, one of the problems with a direct comparison is Canadian healthcare is a federally funded provincial program. The individual provinces control the mandate as appropriate for their provincial situation.

I’m not even going to start to engage you on the numbers of people dying waiting for procedures (especially when compared to numbers in the US of people who die because they can’t even begin to afford said procedures) but I have to call you out on the NHS and salaries to nurses.

Part of why they won't hear the end of it is because they're perpetuating a right wing talking point that is factually incorrect and consistently used to argue against universal healthcare. They get there in the end, which is good, but we need to stop with the disinformation.

I’d concur here. I spent two days just waiting in the hospital here in the US because I needed to have an operation, but the OR was backed up dealing with more immediate surgeries. I’m confused as to how this is “better” than a socialized system.
