The racquetball scene with him & Tom Hanks in “Big” is not only terrific physical comedy, but did a wonderful job in showing that petty, insecure behavior does not diminish with age.

He did an equally schlockly movie with Nick Nolte and Sissy Spacek called “Heart Beat”. It was a staple on cable when I was a kid, so I probably saw it 10 times. Man, the three of them were so gorgeous and the clothes were insane

There was a John Heard movie called Deceived, with Goldie Hawn, that was probably absolute schlock artistically—I have terrible taste—but that I utterly loved: he was such a great sleazy evil sinisterly villainous villain in that one, and clearly had such a good time playing the part.
